The 2024 edition of the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis marked the 30th anniversary of the NASCAR Cup Series Crown Jewel event at one of the sport’s most iconic venues. Jeff Gordon, driving for Hendrick Motorsports, took the checkered flag in the inaugural event at the Brickyard in 1994. Fittingly, another Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson celebrated the 30th anniversary of Gordon’s win in the first Brickyard 400 with a victory of his own on July 21, 2024 during the 40th anniversary season of Hendrick Motorsports’ involvement in NASCAR racing. Larson bookended the first 30 years of the prestigious event’s history in grand style, leading the final seven laps to secure the victory with his No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro.
