Homestead-Miami Speedway opened in 1995, born from an initiative to spur economic recovery in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. Founded by Miami racing promoter Ralph Sanchez, the Speedway hosts some of NASCAR’s most competitive 1.5 mile multi-groove racing during its annual action-packed series weekend.
